We had a weekend in Valle de Bravo which is about an hour away from Mexico City. We rented a little condo for two nights. Our neighbors here in Mexico City have a weekend house in Avandaro which is the town next to Valle. They invited us to join them for lunch on Saturday.
We arrived on Friday afternoon parked the car at the condo and walked to a restaurant for lunch. We spent Saturday morning by the pool. The boys took early naps and then we headed to our neighbors weekend house. Lunch was at about 2.45pm. There were two other families staying with them for the weekend - so lots of children. After lunch the children played on the slip 'n' slide and then swam in the pool (the pool was kind of like a large hot tub).
I have videos...but I am still working on how to get these to work. The links are not like they used to be.....

April Antics
~Carter
~A pile of boys..
~Daddy and Carter
~Dylan and Carter
Children's day is BIG here in Mexico. At school they celebrated for a whole week. One of the days the children had to dress up as what they want to be when they grow up. Dylan chose to be a pilot. I sent our driver out to see if he could get me a hat and wings badge. He returned having not found either so 'Crafty Mama' whipped out her hot glue gun and craft materials and made one. I was happy with how it turned out particularly given that I didn't buy anything specifically for the project.
We had some rain which was the perfect opportunity for playing on the patio with this cute umbrella.

Teotihuacan
In early April we joined a group from the Newcomers club and toured Teothuacan. Linda our guide was amazing and could probably have gone on for days. The tour was really informative but a little long. The day started out sunny and fresh but by the time we finished it was HOT!. Here are the highlights.
~ The start of the tour..and me trying to walk and nurse at the same time.
~Dylan - sunscreen on and ready to go. Everyone was impressed with how good he was.
~This was the little pyramid that everyone climbed. The steps were narrow and steep. Going up wasn't too back but coming down felt very precarious. I was pleased to get to the bottom.
~Pyramid of the Sun. Some of the group climbed this. We opted out and used the time for feeding, changing diapers and attracting a crowd of girls.
~Dylan's entourage. They thought he was adorable.
~In the background the pyramid of the moon.

~This cheeky monkey likes bananas and jicama with chile. Note the size of the pile, this is what happens when monkey's are left alone with the bottle.
~At Beyra's birthday party the best thing was the motorized ride-on.
~the bouncy castle was pretty good too.
~More sleeping by Carter
~The Easter basket Dylan made at school.
~Cheering from the bouncy chair.
~Naked butt time
~Another trip to Tio Pepes
