Little Sister comes to town.

Hayley (my little sister) and her boyfriend Kiwa came to visit us. It was fun but too short! We had breakfast at Anodyne (the only place that got the coffee nod from Hayley last time she was here), we lunched like piggies at Barrio in Edina, we walked around Lake Harriet and, of course, we went to the cabin. We made the trip to the cabin on Friday, leaving in the morning so we could hit up Prairie Bay in Baxter for lunch. It was the slowest trip I have ever taken to the cabin, a total contrast to any trip taken with Matt as the primary driver. This is where we tell 'horror stories' about Matt making us pee in bottles because he doesn't want to stop.... (truth is he normally allows for one stop). I made the most of not having Matt along. We stopped at McDonalds Meat Market for a pork chop snack and then we stopped in Baxter for Pizza for lunch. If Kiwa had had his way we would have stopped at every antique market on the way fortunately Matt's 'Lake Driving training' kicked in and I was able to ignore all of these requests and we made it with no antique purchases.

Highlights from the cabin...

Boat cleaning duties. Photobucket Skiing. This was the first time that Kiwa got up on skis. He did well with the exception of one close encounter with the beaver den. Photobucket
Post ski exhilaration. Photobucket Eating outdoors. Photobucket Boating. Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

The Lake Harriet Walk. It could probably be called the Wander because Dylan walked more than half way around the lake - touching trees, investigating sticks, poking at holes in the pavement. It took a long time! Photobucket Photobucket
