School

Overall I think the first week of school has gone pretty well.

On day two Dylan knew what to expect and he wasn't smiling as his teacher took him from the car and into school. The start of Day three was similar but he was smiling when I picked him up ninety minutes later. In fact he had done so well that I was asked to leave him for two hours the next day.

Thursday I took Dylan to school in the stroller (We gave Juan, the driver, the day off so we could use him in the weekend).  Before we left we talked about how Mama would come back, just like in the book Llama Llama misses Mama.  When we got to school I asked Dylan if he was good and he said yes and there were only a few little tears.  When I came back to school Dylan and his classmates were out in the play-area playing and I was able to spy on him for a little bit.  He was holding on tight to his Stella (hopefully we will be able to wean him of this soon seeing as Stella was only supposed to be for in the crib) and running around with a smile on his face.  When I picked Dylan up I was told he could stay for the full day (until 1pm) on Friday.

We have most of his uniform, they were out of stock on a couple of items and the one pair of pants we were able to get are at least five inches too long (I mean really, seriously you have kids that need pants this long in this waist size???).  I would have remedied this by now except that I am without sewing machine and seeing as we have to get his school bag embroidered I might as well have them fix the pants at the same time.
