We enjoyed a week in Huatulco in October. We rented a villa on VRBO.com. The villa came with a chef! It was fabulous. The Villa was up on the top of a point so it got some sea breezes and had a nice view of the ocean. We were able to access the beach via the Celeste beach club down the street. The Beach Club was quiet all week. Having the Villa meant I could sit by the pool while Carter napped and Matt and Dylan went to the Beach. We only left the villa twice (not counting the trips to the beach club). One day we took a day trip in a boat along the coast and one evening we went into town to eat. Huatulco is made up of nine bays stretching along 26 kilometers of coastline. Much of the area is in the Parque Nacional Huatulco and several of the babys are only accessible by boat. The climate is dry from December to May and wet from June to November. We were lucky and only had rain one evening. I enjoyed seeing the coast while it was lush and green rather than brown.
While we were out in the boat the Captain said he would take us out a little further (from the coast) on the return in the hope of seeing some turtles and or dolphins. I was a little skeptical about the turtles...I mean how were we supposed to see turtles in all this water??? But we did see turtles - three of them. On the way back we also stopped at one of the beaches to swim. The water was amazing clear and warm. Both Carter and Dylan loved it.
