Cabin Days - summer the way it should be (Part 3)

By Sunday we had gotten into what I call holiday mode. Lots of lounging about, boating, swimming, relaxing and enjoying the sun. We raided the wild strawberries. Yum!

Rod and Sarah by the tree they planted during their wedding. It has an important role now that two trees close by had to be taken down.

Loon with two babies. We saw the whole family one day and one of the parents feeding one of the little ones. Unfortunately it was the boat ride that I didn't take the camera on. Dylan learned about the sounds loons make.

Back in June we got together with some of our friends for a swim and picnic.  It was great fun.

Cabin Days - summer the way it should be (Part 2)

On Saturday there was an early morning swim (also known as a Polar Bear) followed by Dylan's first outdoor shower.


Dylan splashed in his paddling pool and learned to squirt Auntie with the water gun.


This is Dylan trying to blow bubbles.


We went for a boat ride.  Dylan like to "barefoot" next to the boat. "Barefooting" involved being dangled from the boat so that his feet were in the moving water or so that he was swimming on top of the moving water.  I think he liked this better than swimming which was why he wouldn't swim again.
