In early October we had a four day trip to Oaxaca. There are lots of exciting foods that come from Oaxaca so I spent a lot of time pre-trip researching what to eat and where. Some of the food that Oaxaca is known for: (at least) seven types of moles, chapulines (grasshoppers), Oaxacan tamales, mescal, chocolate, and Oaxacan cheese. We had a great time and ate lots of great food. An unfortunate side effect for me was that I had all day long and all night long heartburn for at least two days.
We stayed at this great B&B called Casa de las Bugambilias.
This is the lighting on the stairs leading to the roof terrace at the B&B - great use for colored colanders.
Each morning we had a tasty breakfast of fresh fruit, fresh juice, coffee and a cooked mexican dish. The table settings were different each day and were beautiful.
The B&B was already getting ready for Dia de las Muertos (The Day of the Dead Celebration).

Hi Mama
View from the door of an Antique store. I didn't go in for fear I would find something great that I would not be able to transport back. I could see trouble from the door.
