Dancing in the square......just before the slippery ground got the better of him.
One of Dylan's favorite activities while waiting for food was to sing about different emotions in Spanish followed by the face -
*Enojado (Angry)
*Feliz (Happy)
Another meal - six of the seven most well known moles.
Coffee! Another Oaxacan highlight although on this trip it was a post dinner drink. I got a cucumber lemonade and Matt camomile tea. This shop had two locations and lots of great stuff on the menu. I got a bag of beans and was in heaven every time I opened my suitcase (from the moment I got them back to the B&B to the moment we got unpacked at home).
From what I could gather these "puppets" lead guests from the church to the wedding reception.
Chilling out in the room with giraffe and some "giraffe" music.
On Sunday before our evening flight we went on a Tour to the Tule Tree, Mitla, Teotitlan del Valle, and Tlacolula Sunday Market.
A Church in Tlacolula. The market extended into the church grounds and the church service was being conducted outside, it was crowded and crazy.
There were rides at the market.
And not surprisingly lots of fireworks.
Teotitlan del Valle - the village is known for producing high quality woven woolen rugs using natural dyes.
Dylan was showing me how the man just showed us one of the methods for creating a dye color.
El Tule Tree
...Interesting that in Mexico the common name for this plant is "old balls".
~View of a church from the Mitla site.
~Some of the patterns on the Mitla site. These patterns have been utilized in the Jardin Etnobotanico.
Oaxaca was a great trip!
